It's Official!

Fairview's 1st Annual
    Golf Tournament
                    is a Tremendous Success

Approximately 18 foresomes participated, which is a nice turnout for our first golf tourney.

Golfers got off to a shotgun start promptly at 8:30am. The morning was sunny and warm. The golf course was green and in great shape and the golfers were...well...willing.

Throughout the entire 18 holes of golf, the weather remained hot with a nice breeze. Well, almost. Depending on the speed of each team's game, most teams finished 18 holes. Several teams, however, had to bail out on their final hole due to some fast approaching lightning. (Not a good place to be if you are swinging a long metal stick.) Most teams made it to the pavilion before the rain started. Rain? It was more like a torrential downpour, but it didn't seem to dampen anybody's spirits.

All players were treated to a delicious food buffet which included chicken BBQ, sausages, hotdogs, hamburgers, beans, and several types of salads. If anyone left hungry, it was their own fault!

Including all tournament activities; 50/50 drawing, raffles, golf hole sponsors and other donations, Fairview raised approximately $4000 for the Client Scholarship Fund
