Roxanne is a Credentialed Alcohol
and Substance Abuse Counselor through the Office of Alcohol and
Substance Abuse Services
with extensive experience in the Addictions Treatment field.
Roxanne's
association with Fairview Recovery Services, Inc. began in August
1992. She served as an Emergency Medical Technician
(EMT) for three (3) years at the Addictions Crisis Center. Over the
next four (4) years Roxanne received promotions to Counselor Aide,
Alcoholism Counselor for Fairview's women's program, and Case
Manager for the Addictions Crisis Center. After a brief hiatus in
which Rox worked at New Horizons Outpatient Clinic as a Counselor
for Intensive Outpatient services, Roxanne was re-hired as the
Program Coordinator for the Addictions Crisis Center. Roxanne held
this position through August 2003.
For the next two (2) years, Roxanne worked for the Addiction Center
of Broome County. Roxanne served as Drug
Court Case Manager for the newly developed Drug Court Program; a
collaboration of Broome County's Judicial System, counselors, police
officers, probation officers and drug treatment specialists.
In late December 2005, Roxanne returned to Fairview Recovery
Services, Inc. to serve as Program Coordinator for the Addictions
Crisis Center. And in July of 2007 Roxanne became the Director
of the Crisis Center.
Roxanne is also involved with the American Red Cross
as a CPR/First Aid Instructor and has spent time aiding Hurricane
Katrina victims in New Orleans as well as at home during the recent
2006 Southern Tier flooding. |
